Thinset mortar bonds backerboard sheets to the table and it also bonds tile with backerboard.
How to glue tile to wood table.
Apply one coat of polyvinyl glue with a 2 inch paintbrush to the entire surface of the concrete backer board.
I cleaned up the table and then sanded here or there where there were bumps or scratches etc for a smooth finish.
Coat front and back of the board to ensure it does not absorb any tile adhesive.
When all of the tiles are down lightly press them into the mastic with your hands to set them.
Install the cut tile just as you did the full size tile.
