I have to say it did not disappoint. Original cd pressings omitted the track space so the entire album could fit on one cd. Dead set is a live album by the grateful dead it was released in august 1981 on arista. That will change with the coming dick s picks releases but this is the real deal.

Awesome album as it stands right now it is the only dead release with a live fire on the mountain. Great player from start to finish although space on vinyl is sort of a drag. After years of listening to and loving the companion album reckoning which features the same line up and was recorded at the same shows reckoning was all acoustic songs and which features sparkling sound quality i finally decided to give dead set a try. Once again great sound quality but also great electric dead.
